The Little Mermaid

I wanted to post a few pictures of Lucy.  Her dance recital was a few weeks ago, she was part of a production of "The Little Mermaid" put on by Dance Express, a dance studio near us.  We were so proud of Lucy, she knew every part of the dance and smiled the whole time.  She was part of a tap-dance called "The Codfish Ball."  Here she is posing outside in her costume.
Here is is after the show, beside one of the backdrops.
 Lizzy wanted to pose too.
Here she is with two of our cute neighbors who also dance there.  The first year we danced there, no one clued me in on the flower tradition, and I looked around before the show started and noticed that every single parent had flowers to give the little dancers, and I was totally unprepared.  Luckily that was "Swan Lake," and the baby swans didn't come out until the second act, so I took off and found a single red rose at a gas station to give Lucy.  After dodging that bullet, I never forgot again.  Thankfully, the director now sends an email to all the parents, so no one would be in that situation.
Lucy definitely has a "picture smile" where she feels it necessary to show every single tooth, in a tight expression.  However, this one below was quite nice I thought.
Samuel had to pose as well.  Goofball.
Overall, a great experience...great job Lucy!
