Lately, Samuel has often been including in his prayers, "please bless that we'll get presents for Christmas." After several nights of this, I asked him why he kept asking that, and he said, "well, I don't think I've been very good, so Santa might not bring me anything, but I'm still counting on Jesus."
I have to agree. Santa is great for those on the nice list, but what about those of us who keep messing up? I'm so thankful that Jesus doesn't keep lists. He knows we're all really good at heart, so He keeps giving us gifts and helping us to try and be better people.
