Skirt, and cute girls.

Just a little update, with pictures to share. Last Saturday Lucy had a few dollars burning a hole in her pocket, so Matt too her to Wal-Mart. She totally shocked the heck out of me by buying a makeup kit. Really? Lucy is so many things. She's not "princessy," but at the same time, she's very girly. She loves to play with boys, but at the same time she's not a tomboy at all. I guess you just have to know her to know her.
She also loves to share her new makeup skills with her sister. Lizzy loves to pose for the camera, this is her new favorite pose, to bend to one side.
I finished the Easter outfit for Lucy. The little shirt totally makes it. I just appliqued a little piece of the Easter fabric with some rick-rack I already had onto an old white shirt. You can even see a little faint stain on the front, I felt bad about that, but I just am into a new kick of using what we have and not spending unnecessary money.
More pretty girls with makeup. The spaghetti sauce really adds too, don't you think?
And finally, the skirt. Lucy likes it. I like it too, but I don't want to stand on the rooftops saying "I MADE THIS!" And I have wanted to do that with some things I've made. To me, the sodoku effect is not strong enough, meaning it looks like it was supposed to match up but something must have gone wrong. It looks like it *almost* lines up, and that bugs me. But overall, it's cute and will be fun for Lucy to wear to school and church for the whole month of April.

  1. The skirts darling, but I have the same feelings as you do about lining up. Good job on recycling the shirt!
