Early Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from us! I'll save the actual costume pics for tomorrow, but here are some to get you in the mood. I made the girls these cute outfits. Actually I made Lucy's last year, so if she looks a bit younger in those pics, that's why. Then I had extra fabric this year, so I made Lizzy a quick little A-line jumper with a contrast pocket and rick rack trim. Fun!
I love the ribbons in the back, how cute is that?
The pants underneath are very handy on the playground. Especially this year since the dress is an inch or two above the knee.

Cute little girl, one year old! Yes, I need to do a birthday post for her. So much blogging, so little time.
I have to laugh at Lucy in this picture. We have a family joke about how NC is the pork capital of the US, maybe the world. When we talk about this, we make a double chin "I just love pork BBQ!" Anyway, Lucy could be telling you how much she loves pork BBQ in this picture. And hushpuppies. So funny because she's actually really slim in real life. Lizzy's just looking confused like she doesn't quite get the joke.
Here's how we spent our evening. I did this kitty, for Lucy of course. I freehand-copied a pumpkin I saw online, and thought I did pretty good for someone with no artistic talent whatsoever.
Matt did this Mummy and was muttering the whole time at Samuel who always picks the hardest designs, then is nowhere to be found during the carving.
This is Mason's flame pumpkin, and I did the transfer dots but he did the carving all on his own. I was so proud, especially since his preschool teachers told me he would probably be behind in fine motor skills when he got to elementary school. Take that, Mrs. Preschool Teacher!
Our little family of pumpkins, fun stuff.
