Sudoku skirt.

OK, I am not a math whiz at all, unless it has to do with counting complicated rhythms in music. I've never even been able to complete a single game of sudoku in my life. So why I thought I could sew this little skirt, I don't know. I attached a picture I found online, so someone somewhere has figured it out.

The pattern is so cute. It's kind of a patchwork type idea, and I mixed and matched some Easter and spring prints, it's just yummy to look at the fabrics together, and the skirt is darling in my head. Lucy's favorite thing to wear is skirts, and she will love this, if I ever get it done, but it's a brain twister for me to even cut it out. There are 8 "gores" that make up the skirt, and each gore has three vertical pieces of fabric of varying lengths, but they all have to equal out somehow. I'm cutting it out today, but Lizzy keeps yelling at me, "No Mama, don't cut it! Don't cut it!" She finds it somehow very upsetting to see me cut this pretty fabric up. She's probably right. I'm totally destroying perfectly good fabric.

I'll let you know how it goes.
