OK, we were in Utah for about two weeks, and I promise I won't post pictures from every single day. But the trip out was a big day, and worth its own post. The kids were SO excited! They were ready to go about an hour before Matt and me. Here's Lizzy ready in her car seat. Notice how nice her hair looks in little french braids. So sweet!
Standing around, waiting.
Here's Lizzy and Lucy enjoying a movie. I was so thankful for Matt's job at Lenovo, where he has plenty of chances to get tablets and small laptops for very little moolah.
I had bought each of the girls a new coloring book for the plane ride,
but then Lucy couldn't stand it and I finally let her color one page while waiting for the plane.
Because of the time difference, we arrived in Utah in the late afternoon. We had a quick dinner with Mom and Dad Beck, then decided that maybe crossing the country wasn't quite exciting enough, so why not head to the Steel Days Carnival? Yes, please! I'm joking around, but in all seriousness, Matt and I both grew up in American Fork and we remember looking forward to the Carnival ALL YEAR LONG! Sharing that experience with the kids was priceless. I found that even though they are much more seasoned-travelers and been to the NC State Fair every year (which is about 100 times bigger than this little carnival), they were still totally excited to be there and had a great time.
Yes, you guessed it!
We even managed to arrive the same weekend
as our 20 year high school reunion!
This is currently one of my favorite pictures of all time!
Can you believe how happy Lizzy is, even after a long day of travel?
Great Day for everyone!
