Utah trip, part 2

OK, so here's the next installment. By popular demand...NOT! Is anyone out there reading my blog? If you are lurking (Liz, I know you are....) toss me a bone here and leave a freakin' comment!

So this page is devoted to the wedding itself, the reason we came out to Utah. What a wonderful day! Mike and April are so great together and it was a terrific wedding day. Cold, but terrific all the same. You can tell we're the Southern thin-blooded kin, we're sporting our puffy coats while everyone else is just hanging around in their shirts or light jackets.

I had to get a closeup of these shoes. April special-ordered her converse wedding shoes in her two favorite colors.
Sorry Jon, this is the only picture I had of you guys. Ashley looks cute though. :)

Handsome Samuel outside the temple.
Ryan, Nichole and Reagan. The other three kids were home with a sitter, very smart!
Danny, Amy, and kids. See what I mean? No coats? Short sleeves?
I was cold on their behalf, but they assured me that they were totally fine.
Andrew and Dia, still posing just as cute as they did on their wedding day.
Mom and Dad, what a moment of triumph. 8 kids, 8 temple weddings. Quite a feat, good job!
All the studly boy cousins.
Mason and me at the wedding lunch.
The following pictures are of the reception. Here's Samuel and Cameron.

Here's me and my cute girls. Lucy fell against the computer desk the day before we left, of course. I also crack up at Lizzy and her little newborn binkies. They're so tiny in her big ole mouth, but she loves them.

Here is my dear dear Cyndi. Every time I go to Utah I have to see her. She was my YW leader, my first theater director, and mentor when I was a teenager. I just love her guts! When Matt and I first dated and I realized that his parents lived across the street from Cyndi (and Melanie too) I was beyond excited. Here's Nichole and little Eden. And yes, I have to admit that Nichole really is that beautiful in real-life, it's not just that she's photogenic, which she is.
And here is the Beck-guy tradition of making dumb faces and capturing them on film.

This is the sweetest daddy-daughter pic, don't you think?
Here's Mason looking slightly guilty, I guess he was sneaking extra candy canes.
Marissa, Avery, and Brittany.
Maddie, Jessica, and Reagan.
Morgan and Josh
Cute twins Ella and Emma, but when I look at the picture I'm not sure which is which...sorry Jon and Ashley...I stink as an aunt. They're too cute though!
Only Danny and Amy could look this cute sharing a cup of peanuts.
Angie and Michelle, Matt's beautiful sisters.
Andrew and Dia
Happy Wedding, Mike and April. We're so proud of you and glad we were there!

  1. Every time I think about Cindy I remember her consternation of getting, "This has been a wonderful bequest," nixed from the road show she wrote.

    What cute pictures!

  2. Rachel, my goodness, good looks don't end with the Southern Becks, do they? I swear that is the best-looking wedding group ever. You are quite photogenic yourself!
