I am kicking myself, seriously! We stayed with MaryAnn and I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of her, or Jacob and Joseph, who were just awesome for our whole trip. MaryAnn got up and made us the yummiest breakfasts EVERY morning, and Jacob and Joseph played with the boys and helped babysit the girls at times. It was just wonderful and I feel so awful, like total dog-meat, for not getting any pictures. It just shows that when we were there we were so totally relaxed and at home, and didn't really grab the camera enough like we should have. MaryAnn's house was just lovely; I was a little sad to realize that it is the last time I'll see it, since she'll be moving to Alpine pretty soon. I have the greatest memories in that house. Kerrilyn and I used to babysit together, it kind of took both of us when there were lots of kids so little, like this big guy below. I had to get a picture of the two Samuels together. It's a really great picture, it would be even better if Samuel's hands weren't in his drawers, but oh well. It was fun to see Sam and Paul when they would come over between snowmobiling and snowboarding.

Here's one more picture of us in front of the temple. I don't mean to be like Grandma Shill but I can't stand looking at me...I need to put this on my frig as motivation to lose a few pounds. Ugh!

Here's Lucy with her snowman. She had been waiting and waiting for it to snow in NC, so she was beyond excited to get to play in the snow in Utah.

Here's Lizzy outside in the snow. I was kind of mad later when I realized Matt took her outside in just her Robeez.

Samuel and Lucy outside at MaryAnn's.

Here's Matt and kids on the steps of the temple.

Well, that's it folks, a little anti-climactic, but we still loved our trip and thanks to everyone for making it special! I loved my lunch with my sisters and neices, but again, I forgot my camera. Anyway, thanks again!
Seriously, the pictures where you have to hold a kid, never ever ever look good. It doesn't matter how skinny you are. Your body has to contort to get some wiggly creature to not slide down your legs and into the floor. And somehow, it affects our neck muscles and we never look good.
ReplyDeletePhew. I feel better now. Happy to help.
hey! sorry i never leave comments usually but i wanted to let you know I read your blog, and i love it! i like to see what you are making and how everything in NC is going. WE really need to come up there and visit soon. but anyways, i loved the pictures of mikes wedding. I didn't even know he was getting married, but they look like a really cute couple and i'm very happy for them! I'm glad he is doing well. I love Lizzy's big blue eyes and its amazing how much samuel and sam look alike! your kids are beautiful. keep updating because i'm checking!
